Manages forest operations in Georgia, Florida, and north Alabama

Participates in regional acquisition sourcing and analysis efforts

Ross manages the day-to-day operations of clients’ properties in the firm’s Central Region operating area. He currently oversees timberland properties in Georgia, Alabama and Florida. This entails directing land planning, timber productivity and marketing initiatives, regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship. He also manages TIR’s extensive recreational tract disposition program in the region and participates in regional acquisition sourcing and analysis efforts.

Ross joined TIR in 2009. He previously served as a Procurement Forester with Georgia-Pacific, where he was responsible for meeting the wood fiber needs of five of the company’s plywood manufacturing facilities in Georgia and Alabama. Earlier in his career, he was a Harvest Supervisor and Procurement Forester with Temple-Inland. In that capacity, he supervised five employees and oversaw harvest operations on 400,000 acres of the company’s timberlands in Georgia and Alabama. Ross holds a BS in Forest Resources with an emphasis in Forest Business Management from the University of Georgia. He also is a Registered Forester, Georgia Master Timber Harvester certified, and holds a real estate license in Georgia. He also is a member of the Society of American Foresters, the Florida Forestry Association, and the Georgia Forestry Association, for which he currently serves as a board member.
